Glitterature!! :-)

So, I've been a fan of Elle Fowler for a long time. She's a youtube beauty guru and she is just amazing!!! The one thing that I really love about her channel are her Glitteratures. Glitteratures are where you talk about what you are reading and then when you're done with them you give a book review. I've decided that I'm going to a Blitterature, blog + Glitterature, of all of the books I'm reading and I'll update it frequently. Later today I will post my first Blitterature so please check back!! Thank you :-)

A Drawing..Fallen

This is a picture that I drew of the cover of the book called Fallen. It was a gorgeous cover so I had to at least attempt to draw it. I took this picture on my phone so it isn't the best, and I also cropped it alittle bit, but you get the general idea. Enjoy!!

Quote of the Day!!

So, I decided to do a quote of the day. Here it is :
"There is no telling how many miles you will have to run chasing a dream."
-Author Unknown

My Meaning: I think that this means that you never know how much you will have to work and put in in order to achieve your dreams. It may seem like you are chasing them forever and are getting nowhere, and some dreams may seem unattainable, but we always need to do our best and give it our all, because if you don't there is no way that you will never catch your dreams.
(I found this quote on www.google.com and it said it didn't have an author but I really wanted to use it because it's just a really phenomenal quote. If you know who the author is please tell me so that I can give full credit.)

Quote of the Day...Maybe???

I know I've just created this blog today, but I'm trying to come up with new, fun things to put on it and I was considering a Quote of the Day. I may post one sometime later this evening so come back and check that out!! :) If anyone has any other ideas, please message me about them!!

Visions (Chapter of book in progress)

(Background: This is about a girl named Cassie who has "visions" of the future. Her parents have just died in a car accident.  Before the accident Cassie had a vision that that her parents would be killed in a car crash and now the guilt and overwhelming loss is weighing down on her. She must find out why she's been given these powers and how to control them before it's too late. )
Visions
Cassie collapsed onto the floor, crying. Thoughts began to race through her head. How could I let this happen? This all my fault. I knew what was coming. I saw it all!
Her head began to throb, it was so painful all she could do was claw at her forehead, hoping the pain would subside. She tried to scream, but nothing came out, not a sound. Her lungs heaved, trying desperately to push the sound out of her mouth.
A visions began racing through her head. A huge room, filled with various machines and devices. There were chairs spread all about the room, next to different computing machines. Men and women sat in these chairs. They wore long, white lab coats that had little tags on the pockets. "Name tags," Cassie thought. She knew she wouldn't be able to read them though. Her visions never gave her the direct name or identity of a person, they only showed images.
Then , in the middle of the room, she noticed, was a huge curved table. Many more men and women sat in chairs lining the table. But, they were dressed differently, they wore something like business suits.  As if they were going to a corporate meeting at their law firm. At the head of the table, stood a man with sandy blond hair, and electric, blue eyes. He wore a deep blue colored suit that had many pins attached. Like something you might find a commander in the navy wearing. He was maybe around his mid thirties. But, then she noticed something vaguely familiar about him. She was going to get a closer look, when the vision shifted.
She was on the freeway, watching two cars race after a little green Prius.  Then she realized, "That's my parents car." The chase kept on going for about five  minutes. Then, the two pursuing cars got right up on the tail of the Prius. The first car smacked into the bumper as hard as it could. Her parents car skidded off the road, spinning around in circles. Just when Cassie thought it was finally over, the second car slammed into the front end of the rotating car, causing it to flip over and roll down the ditch.
Tears began streaming down her face. Her vision carried her down into the ditch. She peered into the broken glass window of the car. And she saw a bloodied image of her mother and father, mangled in the front seat of the car.
Her head snapped up and she lay there, gasping for breath. She recognized the last vision. It was one she'd had about two years earlier. She had tried to warn her parents by telling them every detail no matter how painstakingly small. She warned them constantly. Every time they went out she would remind them of her grueling vision. But nothing seemed to work.  Finally, she gave up all hope of persuading them to listen. Everything went back to normal, or as normal as it could be. The vision faded away, like a memory lost in time, or a message in a bottle, drifting in the vast oceans of her mind, lost. But bound to turn up sooner or later, they always did.
She didn’t share her visions with many people. Only her parents and Grandma even knew she had them, but it hadn't been easy to convince them. At first, when she told them  they brushed it off. Thinking of it as nothing more than a child's imagination. But, one night she woke screaming. Her parents rushed into her room wide-eyed and crazy with worry. She knew they wouldn't believe her but this was so seemingly frightening to her that she could no longer contain herself. Words of the terrifying visions spilled out of her mouth. It  wouldn't have been so frightening if she didn't know it would happen, but she did. Her visions always proved to be true. And that was the most frightening thing of all.
In the vision were two enormous buildings. They reached what seemed like all the way up to the sky. They stood side by side,  identical replicas of each other. Then, just over head a small airplane, looking like a fly next to the mass of the gigantic buildings, buzzed around the buildings in the oddest of ways. There was absolutely no reason for the plane to be circling the them like that. "It doesn't make any sense,"  thought Cassie. She watched for a moment, puzzled.
Then, the small aircraft made a beeline straight for one of the twin buildings. It crashed through the outer walls. Then all of a sudden a huge explosion rocked buildings and they erupted into flames. The walls started to crumble and cave in. A huge mushroom-shaped smoke cloud rose up into the air as the buildings toppled. There was screaming and crying and panic all around. It was chaos. The sound of hundreds of rescue vehicles filled the air as they rocketed down the streets, sirens blaring.
Cassie was examining the scene around her when the whole vision changed. She was inside one of the skyscraping twin buildings. A huge cracking sound shook the walls and ceiling. Cassie looked up and a huge mass of concrete and plaster began tumbling down towards her, as the ceiling caved in. She screeched and then woke with a start, screaming and yelling.
When she first told her parents they didn't believe her. No surprise there. But, a few hours later the story was on every news station. There was an accident, a plan crash. Exactly how she had described it. Now they started to realize, this was real, and it was also extremely frightening. You know that moment of déjà vu everyone has once in a while? Or when you dream something and a few days later the exact same thing happens? Well this is nothing like that. First of all, these kind of visions cause such a pain in your head it's like someone is repeatedly beating you with a sludge hammer, your knees buckle, you scream out in pain and agony. Secondly, they happen so unexpectedly that  you always have to be afraid that you're going to collapse at any moment right in front of everyone. And thirdly, these visions were so intense, that it was as if you were actually there, and Cassie saw some pretty horrendous scenes. Worst of all you could feel everything. If you got  a cut on your arm in the vision it felt as if you had really been cut. But, once it was over, no cut.
This really freaked out her parents. Like seriously, freaked them out.. They took her to countless therapists and psychologists . No one could help though. Even if they could have Cassie convinced them that none of it was true. She didn’t want anyone to know about them you see. Which is understandable, considering they'd probably call her crazy and put her in a psych ward or something.  No, she wasn't letting that happen. So, finally her parents just gave up on the idea of somehow "curing" her. They just went along with it, listening intently every time she talked about one of her visions, and taking the caution that came with it. They were careful except when she told them about T the  Accident. They acted like they used to, like her visions were nothing but a meaningless, made up story. Cassie just couldn't understand it, couldn't comprehend it. Why wouldn't they listen?  Especially about this. But they didn't and look what happened.
She knew it would happen. She did nothing.
And they were really gone.
( Note: this is chapter two of a book I was working on. Let me know how you like it and if you have any ideas about how I can improve it. Thanks for reading!!)
